I’m going up Rainier in late May for a skills class. If the weather cooperates (which it probably won’t) I’ll be on the summit either on the 24th or 25th. Want me to take and post a picture looking back? If so, what compass reading is Rainier from your reference point?

Uuuuuh, I dunno, in the direction of Sumner? Wonder if there's a tool for that. I'm over here, you're over there, point it at me, over here. Not on a day like today though, because you'll see nothing.

Yeah, the chance of a clear day up there in May isn’t great. However, Columbia Crest (highest part of the crater rim) is on the NE side. Which could be neat in a mountain looking back at you kinda way. Not much else to do up there but take pictures anyway, unless you like playing in ice caves or steam vents.
You probably have a compass app on your phone. I’d call Sumner 330 degrees (NE) or so from Columbia Crest.

Apparently PostImage changed their domain doodad, so now I gotta go through and change all the links. So if the thumbnails aren't working for you, that's why.
