Hi! Welcome!

I own a Martini Henry .310 Cadet and it's a wonderful rifle.

I also have a couple of pet cockies.

Thanks for the welcome fellas ..... Mars Attacks I have to say I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of the Australian cockatoo we actually shoot literally thousands of them a year on the properties because of the damage they due to infrastructure machinery buildings and crops that and trying to hunt with cockys around is near impossible as soon as I see any movement on the ground they scream and spook everything .
A bit like flying kangaroos they do a lot of damage too.

Cheers

I'm not going to be baited into getting in trouble with the management.

Let's just say I disagree with you.

Welcome to the forum!

Is it true that Foster's Premium Ale comes from contented 'roos, gets shipped to America because Australians prefer better brews?

Welcome to the forum!

My wife has family near/around Melbourne and we got to do her bucket list grand Australia tour back in 2016. Flew into Melbourne, then up to the Red Center by way of Alice Springs, then up to Darwin, and back down the coast to Cairns and Sydney before heading back home.

You have a spectacular continent there and some amazing animals. Mrs.BurtonRW loves the cockatoos, galas, and the 'roos and koalas, too.

Bet you'd like our whitetail deer, which are just as problematic as your kangaroos, but are also "cute" if you don't have to deal with it. LOL.

So whereabouts are you from exactly?

-Rob

I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888

Haha we called it something a lot more colourful than that when they stop selling it here 20 or more years ago the first word was cat and the second word stinks when they spray all over your front door so I don't know if I'm allowed to use those particular words of this forum .

G'day Rob I'm actually in Far Eastern Victoria a place called the Gippsland Lakes Google it it's a very beautiful area and on the kangaroos we eat kangaroo once or twice a week here we also shoot those with permits for protecting cereal crops I unlike a lot of others won't shoot them unless I can use them others just use the drop and rot principal which I don't really go for .
I know a lot of people with dogs and I know several people who like eating it so it does not go to waste and yes it is a beautiful country you got that right pity our politicians and left wing nut jobs at doing their utmost to destroy it I've only been in the three Eastern states myself Queensland New South Wales and Victoria obviously i would love to get down to Tasmania one day .

Cheers

Welcome Speerchucker. Good to hear from members far away.
BTW, I love my RM Williams boots. I have the Gardner boots in black and brown. I don’t wear them as much anymore as I once did. I love all things RM Williams. I have always lusted after their black Wellington style dress boots. But I don’t think they make them anymore. If they did I’d probably have to take out a 2nd mortgage.
Enjoy Sf.
