What RCBS shell holder should be used for the 7mm-08 cartridge? A quick internet query suggested a #2 (45ACP). As I had one, I tried it with an empty 7mm-08 case and it was sloppy. Tried a .40S&W shell holder and it was too small. A .44Mag shell holder seemed to work.....
What will I use it for?
I like Lyman's E-Z Trim system. I've used it on 30-30 cases and the length is dead-on!!! Would like to use it on the 7mm-08. It requires a shell holder to capture the case and allow the cutter to trim.
Any suggestions?

As able/price I like the Redding shell holders best. It’s that ‘knurled’ edge that does it for me.

It’s not worth changing out all the others, also not that one has to twist the shell holder that much. It’s like that knurling on the shaft of an extension for a socket stench, helpful for finger twisting.
