mike28wWhat to use to set loading press on
Hello guys ! I haven't reloaded in a couple of decades but now that I'm retired I'd like to slowly start again. I don't have a place to permanently install my loading press....How do others cope with this issue ?? I've been looking at some stands in Harbor Freight, but nothing is catching my imagination yet....Suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!

ugeestaThis may not work for you but is what I did. The press is secured to the table using T nuts so the press can be removed and stored away until you are ready to use it.
I picked up the adjustable table from Home Depot (or Lowes) and i works fine. It moves a bit when loading and I found the best spot for the press is over a table leg to reduce the table flex. Also, I took the casters off for a more stable footing.

Glynn863I bought a tripod-type stand made by Lee Precision. It uses interchangeable plates that allow usage with different presses.

Good luck.

HGWTJWHFor a portable set up I've mounted a press on a piece of plywood and used C clamps to hold it on a bench or table. It worked fine for reloading standard rifle and pistol rounds. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy duty jobs like swaging or reforming rifle brass.

Expert308When I lived in an apartment I lifted the bottom shelf from a small linen closet, screwed a same-length piece of 2x12 to the original shelf supports, and mounted my press on that. Components went on the other shelves. Close the closet door and the whole setup is out of sight and out of the way.
