That powder is really off the slow chart for those rifles.
The pellet is about 1/2 inch by 3/8 inch and has
tiny holes running thru it.takes a pad of black powder to light it off and takes two forty pound bags to take the projectile to target.
One pellet takes lots of open flame to make it burn.
That was only for the 8 inch on cruisers,B B are twice that size and were not in service when I was in.

It is a unique powder. As far as speed it is a slow powder for .380, medium speed for 9MM or 45 ACP, and a fast powder for .44 Magnum.
