Necked up another 200 pieces of rifle brass. Have spring fever and ready to make some noise

Did my annual complete break-down of my primary 550b to do a thorough cleaning/inspection/relubing.

Then did an inventory of all my powder and primers to update the database.

Then loaded 600 rounds of 124gr+P gold dot clones.

Then sorted and cleaned a couple bags of brass from the last few outings.

It's been a busy morning.

Wow! That was a busy day agony!

I finished up reloading my 223 brass. I loaded most of it yesterday, but finished the last 300 today. Added a total of 1,220 rounds to the stash.

Next big reloading job is 2,500 9mm... 2,000 147gr and 500 165gr.

Got my 2500 pieces of once fired 9mm brass in and got the last of it tumbled last night. I decided not to use the wet tumbler on them so I didn't have to decap them all first.

I will get the 650 cleaned up and changed over to 9mm so I can start cranking out some 147 and 165 Xtremes. This will be the first time I've changed the conversion on my 650.

Just finished up loading nearly 6500 rds of .357 sig. Two boxes of MT Gold 125 gr fmj slugs and a LOT of AAC #9. Took me a week of off and on loading on my 550.

Loading 100 rounds of 270AR. Breaking in a new barrel.

500 rnds of 9mm last night. Will tackle a bulk load run of 38 spl next, then 45 acp.

just finished boiling a half gallon of 40's .
The darn red wax from me running thru the star would not come off with the regular gas I normally use on the blue ones.
The wax has floated to top and tomorrow I will rewash them with simple green and when dry I will powder coat and bake.
They run thru the star again,dang hobby has turned into work.

I just spent about the whole evening loading 20 rounds of .338 Win Mag. 68grns of IMR4451 pushing a 225grn SST. I'm a seriously slow reloader with my bigger rifles.

Today:
-Cleaned and sorted a bucket of 9mm/380acp/38spl/357mag. Tumbled en plein air.

-Built a little eye-level shelf for my old 5-0-5.

Wasn't happy with the crimps I was getting on my .380 loads. So I installed a Lee factory carbide crimp die in station 4 of my main 550b.

-Loaded 1k rounds of 380acp (100grFMJ, 3.0gr Titegroup)

-cleaned my daughter's MP15-22.

Done with routine gun stuff today. Gonna spend most of tomorrow at the range.

Well, rifle loading IS a different game when precision and accuracy is the goal.

I loaded 50 rounds of match-grade 6.5CM last week. It took a while.

I started to load a test run of 9mm 124 Xtreme's, (some with W231, some with WSF) using my oldest Dillon powder measure when it began to stick on the return stroke.
So I stopped and disassembled it for a clean and lube.
I buffed the powder bar, and anything that touches it, with some Scotch-brite until it looked and felt smooth (I considered throwing these parts in the tumbler for a few hours but didn't want to wait) then I sprayed the powder bar and spacer with CRC Silicone spray before reassembly and used some Lucas Marine grease on that groove where the body and the connector body slide up and down as well as the (pre-failsafe) bellcrank pivot point.

Much smoother after doing this and it doesn't hang up on the return stroke.
In the past I have used powdered graphite to lube the slide, then Lee case lube. If the silicone does not work out I have some dry film lubricant to try next.

Went through all my notes on .308 loads that were abandoned once the cold weather hit. Last winter I sat on the deck in -10F shooting. Not this year. . Thankfully I made good notes as I seem not to remember crap. Got the 2000MR test once again ready to roll. Sorted brass (actually already sorted in MTM boxes) of what needs annealing and bumping.

Set the Loadmaster up for .38s and plan on doing a run of 158gr LSWCs before I swap presses and put the single stage up for the .308.

Told myself once again I need to order some Bergers up this week.
