One of the numerous reasons I prefer to seat and crimp in separate stations.

Might be (but doubt it) or I didn't expand the case mouth enough. Gotta do some tweaking...

Today I chrono'd my subsonic 9mm load, and loaded 500 of them. Decapped a bunch of 9mm I picked up at the range and threw it in the tumbler.

Also ordered some parts from TGS. Sent Ken @ hogue an email regarding some grips, need to get those on before next weekend.

STILL need to clean guns. Ugh.

Loaded 100 rounds of 9mm to take my daughter to Ladies Night at the Range Thursday night. She mentioned that her grip on her G26 was slipping while shooting causing her hand to move down the grip and the mag was pinching her finger so I bought her a Pachmyer grip panty. Hope that fixes the problem.

Just another day in paradise.

Ordered some more "stuff" for my Dillon 650 from Brian Enos to take advantage of his shipping fees. He has identified that his shipping fees will have to go up on October 15, 2014. His first shipping price increase since 2005 - If you ask me that is very fair on his part.....Good guy trying to provide common folks quality products at affordable prices.....I like the guy and what he stands for....Mark

100 rounds of 9mm. I got a 9mm barrel for my P239 and I am ringing it out.

Loaded another 500 rounds of subsonic 9mm.

Scored 2 pounds of WSF from a local place for $18.99/pound. A little higher than usual, but I'll take it.

A buddy of mine just called me over to his office and gave me a box of pentagon hollow points from Hunters Supply for 380. They look pretty cool.

Just picked up 2500 180gr JHP from the Post Office that was sent by Montana Gold.

They were not happy that they were all shoved into the medium Flat Rate box that weighed 67 pounds. Razz

The Postmaster said "I don't know what's in there but they sure got their money's worth."

Evidently they didn't look at the return address because it say's Montana Gold Bullet Co. right in the return address.

I told them they could just hold the one that's coming in tomorrow from a different place. That one weighs about 40 lbs.

I finished the two bricks of small primers that I had been loading forties with couple hours ago with my 180 cast.
Now when My arm gets better I will start on the 38's or 9's.
I have got next years range fodder done for 40 and 45.

Loaded up some 38 spl +P with CFE Pistol, looks like it could be a fun round. 5.3gr with 158gr JHP.

Should be over 900fps. Hodgdon state 5.4 max but I already had the measure set at 5.3 from some 9mm so I just went with it instead of dicking with the dial.

Also decapped and sized some nickel 9mm to load some JHPs into.

Gonna go sift them out of the tumbler now.

Since I've come across this "case bulge issue" with the once-fired .40 S&W brass I bought, I've researched the Lee Bulge Buster Kit; I believe I'll be getting that for .40 S&W and .45 ACP cases. I'm also 99% convinced that I'm going to revamp my reloading process and now seat and crimp in two separate stages; steps 4 and 5 on the RCBS Pro2000 Progressive Press.

As much as I love RCBS's products and support, I'm just getting too much inconsistency with trying to seat and crimp with the RCBS seating/crimping die with semi-auto loads. It worked GREAT for seating/crimping my .38 Special reloads.....not so much, so far, with .40 S&W. Unfortunately, that removes my Tube Bullet Feeder Die from the process and I'll have to revert to putting the bullet on the case mouth by hand. Dang....RCBS needs to manufacture a 6 or 7 stage press!!!

I'm not familiar with the Lee Bulge Buster kit but I bought one of the Redding push through sizing dies and it has made a difference. I couldn't believe how bulged some of the 40 brass was that I've picked up on the ranges.

Cleaned, sized/deprimed and sorted 1000+ 9mm cases. Sorting consists of separating brass mfg I want to keep for serious loads and the stuff I can shoot at the range and walk away from without looking back.

Cleaned one of my 226s, swapped out the grips for hogue g10 piranhas, and installed a stainless guide rod.

Meeting the dealer at 1030 tomorrow to pick up my 30p1 and a pair of tirant 45 cans.

Then I have to clean my ARs and my 227 and the other 226s.
