Making GREAT progress on my .38 Special reloads for the "Cowboy Shooting" range. I loaded 450 rounds today, which puts me at about 250 remaining to finish my first 1,000 rounds!

I bought some Barnes 70gr TSX bullets yesterday. I've been hearing good things about this bullet so I'm going to load some up and try them out.

Nice. What recipe are you using? I've been using Trailboss for my 38 and 45 cowboy loads

Ran off a quick 100 rounds of 45 ACP match loads to fill out my necessaries.
If I get thru helping a friend with a new rifle Sunday, and it's not TOO DAMN HOT, I will shoot the USPSA match with the new P227. I fear the SIG short trigger may well rub a blister on my fanger (Alabamian for finger). GG P-SPIT trigger on the way for this gun.

1. Finished out the last 150 rounds of my first 1,000 .38 Special rounds; boxed, labeled, and recorded in log. 2. Cleaned all the .38 Special dies in my die plate and stored that away. 3. Set up my die plate for .40 S&W. 4. Set up the powder expander die with the appropriate bell on the case mouth. 5. Set up the Bullet Feeder Die I bought to speed up the reloading process for .40 S&W.
Full .40 S&W production should commence Monday...

Annealed another few hundred rough - cut blackout brass, loaded 500 9mm and 500 223.
Id like to load some 308 yet today, but I'm feeling hungry, so dinner might get in the way depending on how big a production I make of that. We'll see.

Finally got tired of cleaning brass in the tumbler. Reloading about 800 -1,000 rounds of 9mm each month for IDPA practice and matches. So off to Harbor Freight with coupon in hand and purchased the large size Ultrasonic cleaner they had on sale. Opened the box, filled unit with distilled water, added some vinegar, detergent and 30 min later, after some experimenting, I have a bunch of shiny brass with clean primer pockets. Life is good.

Sorted and separated some of the nastiest tarnished brass I have ever been given. About 300-400rds of various pistol and rifle calibers. Brass is soaking in a 5 gallon bucket of water to allow the crap to dislodge itself from inside these cases, then off to the Rebel 12 for a few hrs with my stainless steel media....Mark

Picked up one of these LED light strips for my LoadMaster at the funshow Sunday. This is not my press, but it lights mine up just as well.

Last night I annealed another few hundred rough cut blackout, and sized a few hundred. Tonight I'll do the same, then throw a bunch in the tumbler.
My 300BLK Giraud tri-way is supposed to be here Friday, so I'll be able to final trim them and load a bunch up.
Sunday is this month's 3-gun match, so I need to make sure I have at least 2 magazines for that.
Oh, and I need to clean guns. Soon. Went to the range the other day and my 223 was so dirty I had to mortar the empty chamber to break the bolt free. Yikes! Shooting suppressed sure is a filthy business...

This morning I sized about 400 9mm brass and wet tumbled 800 very dirty pieces of 40 brass. After it was dry ran it all through through the Redding G-Rx sizing die. Most of this was range brass and not mine and man was some of that stuff bulged. Even had a Starline get stuck in the die because it was so bulged on the bottom.
This afternoon went into a big box sporting goods store in the area looking for a trimmer pilot and holder and what did I find? Bullseye and Unique. I wanted to buy it all but didn't.
This is the first time I have seen so much powder available in this area. The best part about the Bullseye and Unique purchase? $50 in gift cards.
I picked up the 800-x the other day at a different store and I know the 800-x meters poor but I won't be using it on a progressive press so I can put up with the poor metering.

Cleaned up every piece of "to be loaded" brass I have since I currently have no press (waiting on my 650) and organized everything in anticipation of the 650's arrival....Mark
