I was at Trop in Elizabethtown, PA and they actually had 3 1 pound bottles of Unique still priced at $19.99 each. I stood staring for a minute until I came to my senses and grabbed them. As I was leaving the aisle I heard a guy as he approached the aisle say "I sure hope they have some pistol powder." I considered going back and returning one bottle. But I didn't. I'm both greedy and needy when it comes to powders these days.

Loaded 200 45acp and 80 308. Put a sample (10) of the 308s on a concentricity gauge, the worst of them was only .003". I'm pretty happy with that since I'm loading them on a 550. Now, to shoot some of them.....

Loading couple hundred of 45ACP =)

Probably going to prep some brass later.

Tore down one of my 550's and boxed it up to make some space. Tore down the other 550 completely for cleaning and maintenance/adjustments. Spent an hour looking for the stupid spring and primer seating cup that went shooting into the abyss when I was reassembling the primer slide. Then loaded 600 rds of 9mm to ensure everything was working properly.

I cranked out 100 .460 S&W magnums on my Lyman turret for the upcoming GA SigShoot.

Deprimed, sized and primed 199 cases of .45 ACP and 45 cases of .45 colt. Went to the range and made 25 more spent cases of .45 ACP which i put in the tumbler post haste!

Well I was ready to go the range today, but since we got blanketed with snow overnight, I'll stay home and do some cleaning up downstairs.

Oh, and I ordered some more goodies for my trusty old 550....the tool-holder that attaches to the back of the machine, a spare parts kit, a four-pack of small primer pickup tubes, a replacement housing for the empty primer alarm system that has been broken since 1999, a Uniquetek bullet tray attachment that lets me use standard akrobins rather than the overpriced and ultra-shallow Dillon product, the Bobsled primer tube thing that transfers spent primers through a flexitube into a container, and a toolhead clamp kit.

Bought a new and improved 200 primer feeder for my 20 Gauge MEC 9000G for $60.00 OTD at the Arizona Game & Fish Outdoor Expo today and I'll be installing it tomorrow so it'll be ready for reloading Tuesday.

Got $5.00 off because the guy didn't have any change. They cost $84.00 direct from MEC and I bought it from a MEC distributor.

Starting to finally get to some 9mm...these rice containers sure come in handy!

My venture to a new (to me) powder continues. I am using a 125 grain RNFP bullet designed for .38/.357 in my 9mm, and due to the longer length of said bullet...most powder recipes do not apply.
Loaded up the first 20 at 4.0 grains: just a wee bit hot for my taste. So, I am reducing the charge down to 3.4 and 3.7 grains, hoping to find the sweet spot.
I'm also loading up today some 9mm using HP-38, but using a 100 grain bullet that I use for .380. Like the 125 grain bullet...I will load small batches and vary the powder by .2 grain in order to find the sweet spot for this specific gun.
Will shoot them Thursday at my club steel plate match, and report back.
Changing powder (out of necessity) is an adventure!

Over the weekend I tumbled a big box of 9mm brass and some .223. Then loaded up 600rds of 9mm. Was going to go ahead and do another 400 to make it 1000, but I got lazy

Played with some numbers I have accumulated over the past few months.

Discovered that the accuracy nodes for my 5.56 bolt action rifle come every 2.5% in powder charge weights.

Why I couldn't find this before now I do not know.

Found a lovely accuracy node for the Nosler 55Gr Varmageddon bullet and now, of course, I am just about out of them.

Cleaned primed ready for loading maybe later, it is a nice day I think I will go to the range and use some of them up

Borrowed a Chrony and tested a ladder of Red Dot and 124gr plated RMR rounds.

My original load of 4.2gr was getting 1175 FPS with pistol and 12-1300 out of the 16" AR.

Toned it down half a grain to 3.7 for 1050 FPS pistol and 1150-1200 out of the 16" AR.

My lightest load was 3.2gr and I was getting 850 pistol and 1000 rifle and cycled well enough.

Loaded a couple hundred last night, all Blazer brass, Win. primers, red dot and 124gr @ 1.145 OAL.
