Only loaded 10 initially, but functioned 100%. Average was 1025 so I might as .1 grains just to ENSURE reliability. But overall I’m pleased.

I’ll load up some more and test accuracy tomorrow.

I’ll post the load when I get home as I don’t have the notepad with me out here.

ETA:

Various Brass

10.9g 1680
2.09 COAL
220g FMJ projectile
1.360 case length
Winchester small rifle primers
Various brass

Might experiment with a little more overall length as well. Up to another 1/10th of an inch. I’m not sure why I went that short to begin with. I based my initial load a pinch lower than some Speer documented loads I found. I’ll have to find that PDF again.

I'm currently loading with the same parameters and have excellent results and reliability. My COAL is longer as well - about what your experiment will be. Using Raven Rock 220 gr. projectiles - cheap and accurate.

300BLK is so expensive.

I need to start reloading.

Thanks for the reminder, and recipe!

The .19 I have per round is a fair sight better than factory subsonic loads.

Supersonic are a bit more, perhaps .25 per round with more powder and hunting projectiles, but I won’t ever use more than 200 of those in real life, give another 50 for sighting and testing.

I did invest in a $35 harbor freight mini table saw to cut brass. A forum member loaned me the jig and I was able to turn out 1000+ for culls with it. Even then it’s less than 50% of factory.

I have had great luck w/ 8.5 grains of VV N110 under 200 grain Berry’s plated bullets. Very quiet and accurate.
