Speer nickel plated
The range where I work is used by different agencies that use Speer and Winchester nickel plated brass. Is there any advantage to use it for reloading other than I know it's once fired? Runs fine in the SQ Deal. TIA

Basically brass with a nickel plate.

The only downside is that, in time, the nickel will flake off.

Reload on.

For my 66 year old eyes I can see splits in the case mouth on a nickel plated case easier than a brass case. I reload both brass and nickel and my OCD supports me separating the brass from the nickel brass during my cleaning processes. I have many thousand nickel cases that I have reloaded multiple times.

I once received 1000 once fired Speer Lawmen nickel plated 38spl cases from a law enforcement qualification shoot (30 + years ago from a local law enforcement gun range as a gift for helping behind the scenes at that range). I reloaded many of those cases seven to eight times before some split. Shooting a revolver in PPC matches and practice made it easy to retain my own brass.

I load on a Dillon 650 and 1100 and both machines run good with nickel plated brass.
