I am trying to finish a mini recce type AR, 13.7" bbl with ⅛ twist. What bullets do you guys suggest for me to start trying to find? David W. Rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud. -Sophocles

So The Mk 12 Recce Rifle is an 18" 1:8 twist barrel that was designed to get the most accuracy and velocity for heavy projectiles (70+ grains). 75gr Hornady ELDs, 77gr Sierra Match Kings are favored in my 18" Recce Rifle. The shortened barrel length will give up 100-200 fps velocity. Hope that helps. Andrew Duty is the sublimest word in the English Language - Gen Robert E Lee.

A 1/8 twist barrel stabilizes pretty much any bullet weighing between 40 and 77 grains. The specific bullet depends on your preferred type of shooting.
