I mountain bike frequently in the western North Carolina mountains near Asheville and carry my Ruger LCP in a pistolwear holster around my waist. The pistolwear holster holds the gun very snug and, from my perspective, is convenient to access. I've worn it on dozens of rides and have never had an issue. I even wear it when riding when my liberal friends, unbeknownst to them. Have never had the need to pull it, and it wouldn't do anything for the black bears we see often (never had an issue with one), but there have been occasions where 2 legged predators have caused issues and it gives me a secure feeling when I'm 10 miles from the truck on the backside of some mountain...

Still loving the 5.11 Select Carry Pistol Pouch. I’ve run a lot of miles with it. Did a 10k turkey trot this week with it and my G26 with 15,000 other people and nobody was the wiser. Very comfortable.

My running setup is just an Uncle Mike's neoprene IWB and a Bodyguard .380. I put the holster in my compression shorts waistband for stability. I wash the holster about every week. It breaks down a little bit, but they are cheap so I replace them frequently.

I had some out of town training for work and the only gun I had was a G26. Same method worked, but it was much more noticeable.

Thanks, I wonder if anyone has tried The Marathon Gunpack? Large size supposed to accommodate a G19 or in my case Shield 9. https://www.elitesurvival.com/...ks/marathon-gunpack/

I’ll Best I’ve used to date is the 5.11 Select. However, I just discorvered this tonight and have ordered one.

It’s a slower zippered draw, but it really looks like it won’t bounce. I’ll toss a G42 in it and see how it goes. This has real promise to be what I’ve been searching for! If it works perfect, I’ll deal with a zippered opening. I’ll rig up a zip tie or something to make it easier to open fast.

The Pro Series appears to be water proof, so no sweat on your gun. They’re only about $25too.

Interested in your impression. I don’t see a “Pro” model listed. Which one did you get?
