Wow! This thread has been going a LONG time! I bought the .357 Sig barrel for my P229, but have never even tried it out -- it's just sitting in my safe. One of these days. . . Meanwhile my setup is same as yours, in a MS VM2. Have you tried Milt Sparks' pocket magazine carrier?
Thanks,
Sap

| Well, there are two: a Sig 1911 RCS .45 ACP and an M11A1, both carried in an open top, Tom Threepersons OWB holster of my own make. Both are lined, & and in black leather...hides the gun against denim Levis if my shirt tail or jacket flares. Rod

| P229 .357sig 14+1, with Streamlight TLR2HL-G, in a Stealth Gear Vent-Core, with two extra 14 rnd mags also riding IWB in a Stealth Gear mag holder, plus an additional 14rnd mag in the big pocket of a "tactical" pouch for EDC, and an additional two 14rnd mags in another Stealth Gear IWB mag holder if I go to the movies. I know that's quite a bit of extra ammo, but "I just don't want to die, for lack of shooting back." |

| It was a P228 that I foolishly sold to a college friend of mine. It was a great shooter. |

| I thought it was just me having trouble with these small guns! I have a P290 that I really like but doesn't carry well for me. I can carry my old P220 easier in a Tucker holster. Maybe if the little gun had a longer barrel, it would feel more secure. |

| P290, but not the rs... older version with the factory laser... discovered that a leather Triple K holster for the Ruger LC9 with laser is perfect for it. But I think I might transition to a P250 compact for a while.

| Florida, where it’s hot and sticky most of the year, finds me in shorts with a lasered P238, carried in a Wright Leather Works IWB Banshee holster.
