I've had a Wilderness belt now for over ten years. The velcro is all but worn out. I like this type of belt. Is Wilderness still the gold standard, or are there better options today?

For what it’s worth I have found my favorite belts are the “infinitely adjustable” type. I have used 3 KORE belts for the past 6-7 years and they have been fantastic. (I haven’t gone through 3 I have a black, brown and a thicker more GUN/GEAR belt one.)

My most used belt is a Wilderness EDC. They will sell you a replacement velcro patch for $2.50.

I regularly switch things up and also like my Beltman and Milt Sparks leather belts. The Hunter Constantine concept works for me also, it's designed for appendix carry.

I like the Tenicor Zero belt; used to use Wildnerness belt with Tenicor buckle I think. Not sure now. But it's been good for me. Durable but with lifetime guarantee.

Still using WT 5sl stitch. I do have a leather belt from Crossbreed Holsters that works well too.

Really like my Kore. I dig the ratchet adjustability.

I wear either Kore or Nextbelt. I learned the hard way to forgio anything with velcro!

I've been using the Tenicor zero for about 18 months and I love it.

They'll do a blemish sale on them every so often.

I have not tried this type, but looking at the photos on their website, it appears to me that having the tail go inside the belt would not be easy to deal with, difficult to get it snug. Am I missing something?

I dont have any issues with it, though it's awkward in the beginning of usage. For what it's worth I carry AIWB, so I can usually snug the belt then stick the gun and holster in my pants.

I haven't had any issues with the Zero. I've really liked it as my primary belt for the past several years (can't remember when I bought it - when they first released it). I snug it grossly and then in a couple of incremental steps to fine tune. It's very easy to snug and loosen - easier and more fine tunable than the WT belts (which I also still use because they haven't worn out yet). Actually, the WT belts have an issue - they are now too large after having lost some weight but I can't make them as snug as I like because the velcro gets in the way; I need a smaller size WT belt now. So the WT has issues getting smaller or longer. The Zero doesn't have that problem (as long as I don't gain 40 pounds and run out of length).


For me, the tail goes on the weak side, holster on strong side. This may be a change but easy to adopt. I have the standard; there is a stiffer one for owb.

Just don't get one that's too long; I have one that is too long (especially after I lost some weight) and the tail wraps to my back belt loop. I can still use it but I prefer the tail just being ~6".
