What part of the airport do you plan on carrying at? pickup? dropoff?

from here:
http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/southcarolina.pdf

Airport Carry:
If publically owned Not in Terminal. Parking Lot OK (Section 16-23-420(a))
It is difficult to know who owns the airport. Handgunlaw.us recommends not carrying in
any Terminal.

this:

just talks about what happens if you bring it past tsa.

Not minority enough!

Carrying in an airport beyond the parking lot is risking trouble. Airport LEO's often not the same caliber as deputy sheriffs and or city police. Add TSA types into the equation at an airport isn't a good thing.

Keeping the unit in the car sounds like the safest route.

In IL it's a no go anywhere at an airport:

(a) A licensee under this Act shall not knowingly carry a firearm on or into...

(19) Any building, real property, or parking area under the control of an airport.

IL restricting the rights of gun owners, how shocking.

In Myrtle Beach it's OK at pickup and drop off and inside to pick up bags.

I think it matters what side of security you plan to be on?
