Gary SliderAR, MI, OH, WY Updates!
Arkansas – Effective on or about July 11, 2025 Arkansas will now have state Preemption on Knife Laws. You can read the new Act at;
https://arkleg.state.ar.us/Hom...FPublic%2FACT161.pdfMichigan – Effective April 2, 2025 – Michigan made polling places off limits to those Open Carrying and within 100 foot of the door. Politicians can be really stupid. You need to read this change as open Carry is not allowed within 100 foot of a drop box 40 days before the election. Concealed with a permit is legal.
https://www.legislature.mi.gov...tm/2023-HCB-4127.htmOhio - Effective April 9, 2025 HB 452 gives protection in Self Defense Shootings from being sued by the party injured or killed. You can read the bill at;

It also protects card companies from reporting purchases at firearm dealers.
https://search-prod.lis.state....tion/sb58/05_EN/pdf/Wyoming - Effective July 1, 2025 HB 172 will allow carry in more places under Permitless Carry but those with a permit Wyoming issues or honors will be able to carry in K-12 and College/University Campuses and buildings. The Bill also strengthens Preemption. WY even being a Permitless Carry State they do not honor all other states permits. You should read the bill.

https://Handgunlaw.us or at
https://wyomingdci.wyo.gov/cri...aled-firearm-permitsA fun fact and other info. Handgunlaw.us has started its 18th year online supplying information on the Laws for mainly concealed carry in the 50 States and Possessions. In the Left Column on Handgunlaw.us main page under “CCW/Carry Related Links” are “Handgun Drills” and “Handgun Standards” There you will find a list of 180+ Drills and Qualification Standards Handgunlaw.us has collected over the years. If you know of any other Drills or Standards that you think need added to the list drop me an email with a link to the drill and I will see about adding it.
Also we would appreciate you reporting any broken links on the site. There are just at 10,000 links on Handgunlaw.us and you can save us a lot of time checking them. Since early March 2025 we have checked just about every link on Handgunlaw.us making sure they are working. Thank You, Gary Slider

Appliance BradThanks Gary. Here in Michigan, the original Bill would have not exempted persons with a permit. We worked hard to allow permit holders to keep that.
Less known is that they went after the exemption permit holder shave for businesses that sell any alcohol as well as banks. We won that one too.
