My son picked up his first old school Sig the other day and wants to try it out for EDC. I know it will be very limited , but anyone making a nice fitting Kydex holster for a circa 1995 P228 ? | ||

I have a COMP-TAC MTAC for both a G19 and a Sig P228 (no rail). This is a leather / Kydex holster. The design offers comfortable contact against your body with leather side of the holster, and a secure and the Kydex shell offers an easily drawable / holster-able material. The layering of the leather does a good job of taking the pressure-point of the gun slightly off of your body. The leather also 'breaks in' very nicely, conforming more to the body than Kydex would. Keep in mind too that a 'real' gun belt is necessity with this type of holster, as it will provide support but also gun 'retention' aspects as well. The attachment system is secure and adjustable. If he would like something a little more 'compact' but still comfortable, then take a look at their Infidel Ultra Max. Good luck to him!
