Equalizer 3 - AKA Man on Fire 2 Trailer
I cannot state how excited I am for this movie.

Equalizer 2 struggled a bit, IMO, when compared to the first one. And I'd watch Man on Fire two or three more times, before I rewatch an Equalizer. Not really in the same class, IMO. The Equalizers are undoubtedly fun; MoF kind of isn't, and that's where it has an edge. If I was to draw a comparison with the same director and star, I'd say Training Day is far more comparable to Man on Fire. I will concede that Tony Scott's directorial style is likely somewhat divisive though, when compared to Fuqua's less unique approach.

I see what your saying but I was mostly referring to the setting and Dakota being in this one.

EQ1 was better than EQ2. Also, I love the story telling of the Equalizer movies a lot more than the John Wick movies. I am definitely looking forward to this one.

Denzel always plays a good role. This movie looks interesting.

Were they using Volare as a song?

The same song used to sell the 70's Plymouth LOL...

Looks interesting, guess he didn't retire to his home on the Mass Shores....

The scene with the Italian song "Volare" takes place in Italy. Actually it appears that the whole movie takes place in Italy and he's going against the mob so... Volare!

Looking forward to it. Hard to think of a movie starring Denzel Washington that isn’t worth the price of admission.

I do wonder about these things. When every camera shot, lighting etc. is controlled to create a thing. I do not believe in coincidences.

The Book, Man on Fire, takes place in Italy, and deals with the mob. Meh, probably not a connection.

Looking forward to this, just as JW-4 and Expendables 4.

I sure enjoyed The Replacement Killers when it came out though. Big Grin

The original Man on Fire movie [1987], with Scott Glenn as Creasy, was also based in Italy. Not nearly as good as Denzel's Creasy, though.

That is not one I have seen. I have seen a greater percentage of Tony Scott's filmography, than Fuqua's; I haven't seen Bait, The Replacement Killers, or anything Fuqua made after 2018. I have seen all of Scott's major releases, with the exception of Beverly Hills Cop II, and anything pre-dating Top Gun. I certainly didn't mean that Scott's style is preferred to Fuqua's; I actually find Scott's style to be a bit annoying at times. Scott got a little weird with his editing choices sometimes, where Fuqua is perhaps more "traditional"; that's not to say traditional<weird.

I’ve enjoyed Denzel in both installments. I was a big fan of the original series when it ran years ago. I couldn’t help but laugh when the remake came out - really!

I'm sorry if I hurt you feelings when I called you stupid - I thought you already knew - Unknown

Cant wait to see EQ3!

I loved both 1 & 2 for what they were, "walk softy and carry mad skillz for killing!!".

The only weak spot in any of these was in EQ1 when he asks "is that a Heckler cock?" But still a great movie!!

It was really REALLY good! Crazy cool ‘Easter egg’ towards the end.

As I think about it, it probably is not an “Easter egg” but I don’t know a better term; you’ll know it when you see it.

Yes, we thought the movie was really good, too. As expected, a very despicable villain and henchmen. Much better than EQ2. Also caught the Easter egg moment.
