No it is not as good as the Goonies and it is probably only enjoyable if you are watching it with your kids, which we were. It’s safe for the kids and and a clear knock off of The Goonies. There are quite a few Goonies references in it and even at least one person that was in the Goonies that I could tell so they aren’t really trying to hide that fact at all.
Scenery is beautiful.
There were a couple of woke lines but it seemed like they were more in jest than serious. Story kind of ends in reverence to fallen US Military members.
If you have young kids I suggest checking it out. All ours are under 10 and enjoyed it but all 3 preferred The Goonies.
