My 16yo Swifty daughter correctly ID'd this song in 1 second...
We got in her Bug, turned on the radio, and I kid you not she hears 1 second of the song and says "Oh, I like this song! It's The Boys Are Back In Town by Thin Lizzy. Do you know it?" She also tells me she wants to learn to play guitar. I knew there was a reason to hang onto my Les Paul and JMP Marshall.

Pure Awesomeness, that your Daughter knows this song!!!
An anthem of when our group heads out on our (mostly) annual fishing trip.
It makes me feel young again.
Thanks for sharing.

Once you've heard it a few times, that first chord is a dead giveaway.

That is awesome! Just had a niece and her boyfriend visit us ( she is 24). We had the 60's on Sirius radio. They both knew most of the songs, to include the lyrics! Needless to say, I was impressed.

^^^ Probably because they have re-made most of the songs. My daughter, also a swifty can't believe it when I know the lyrics to her re-made songs she plays.
At least she didn't cost you $2k for Falcons vs Kansas City tickets Wife was totally on board

^^^Yeah, a band she likes covered it, which is how she heard it first. But she found out who did it first and listened to it as well.
That doesn’t explain why along with Weird Al’s-Amish Paradise and The Dead Milkmen’s-Bitchin’ Camaro my 14yo son has Grover Washington Jr’s-Just the Two of Us on his playlist and knows all the words. First two are my fault because I played a bunch of goofy songs I thought he’d get a kick out of when he was 12.
