This was a fairly infamous scene for the Stooges. At 37 seconds actress Lorna Gray is hit smack in her open mouth with a creampuff, almost choking her. Moe threw most all of the offstage pies/creampuffs and was known to be a dead aim. She was a good sport about it but her reaction to getting hit is genuine. I've got several books chronicling the Stooges and remember this was one they all got a chuckle out of.

Nola was better in the open/long range with traditional weapons, Burton was better at extreme close range with improvised weapons, which is where he took and kept the fight on his terms.
