I consider the 2014 Godzilla movie to be based heavily on this song - it's practically a 2-hr long music video:

"With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down"

The scene where the male MUTO pulls down the wires around his enclosure when he breaks out.

"Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them"

The male MUTO, again, when he is in the Honolulu airport, and the elevated tram heads at him.

"He picks up a bus and he throws it back down"

The police van that the younger Brody was in gets kicked aside by the male MUTO.

"As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town"

The female MUTO wading through Vegas; Godzilla wading through town to the airport in Hawaii.
