I read theses books on a deployment and
I wish I would have stole them. I would love to get set some day. Has anybody else’s read them?

I read those when I was a teenager in the FRG forty years ago. I was thinking of reading again. And for forty years I have had an idle interest in learning to play Skat.

For a real classic have go at the Good Soldier Schweik by Jaroslav Hasek. It's Czech.

I enjoyed the revolt of Gunner Asch.

Kirst's most famous novel, "The Night of the Generals" is very good too.

Mr. Kablammo, thanks for the suggestion of Good Soldier Schwenk. Picked it up on Kindle just now for $2 - looking forward to reading it. Smile
