apprenticeDispatches from Elsewhere on AMC
Anyone else giving this a try? The GF and I like it so far. Seems to be in the same vein as Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, with maybe a bit of Legion.

RipleyAMC pushed this hard so I gave it a try. Obviously quirky and stylized, an early exchange caught my eye. Unhappy Peter at his job, talking with a cohort --
Cohort: "Work, work, work, work stuff".
Peter: "Work. Work stuff".
Cohort: "Work. Work, work".
Then comes the parade of wannabe wokes, underdog grist for the Man's mill -- genius black guy; feisty, flighty senior gal; Holly Gotranny and nebbish white guy.
Paint-by-numbers fare from the usual suspects, maybe moments of wit, insight and humor to come, not worth the wait and aggravation IMO.

RipleyThinking there might be something here, I've stuck it out through three episodes. The last, "Janice" was excellent. I'm hanging in until they hit me upside the head with a big dead fish which I just know is coming.
