Forget the flying cars. I want to know where the spacecraft and off-world colonies are!

Forget the flying cars, spacecraft and off-world colonies...I'd settle for a Pleasure Model:

Where's my semi auto bolt action pistol? I'd rather my pleasure model wasn't super strong and could snap my neck if she got a little upset.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

The danger just makes it more exciting.

I bought a book for my friend a few years ago called Where's My Jetpack?. I thought it was pretty cool. It tells why certain sci-fi depictions haven't come to be yet, like flying cars, neon spandex suits, transporters, conveyor belt sidewalks, et al.

well, Rachael was pretty hot, too, and had an indefinite lifespan.

Of course, that could be a drawback, as I think about it...

Thanks I needed a suggestion for my next read. Smile

As for the OP, I think it was 2005 when I posted "Where the hell is my flying car?!"
Pretty sure we'll never get to that lil dream.

I've been waiting for my flying car since I was a kid. Mechanics Illustrated has been promising them since the '30s. "Jetsons?"

I'm beginning to to lose hope.
