I swear I had something for this |
I've followed a lot of the ins and outs of CGI software since Babylon 5 came out in the mid 90's and older sites like the Babylon 5 Modeler's Guild and so forth sprouted up on the internet and eventually, it followed over to other Sci-Fi properties. Back then, cost of entry was something near $10,000 for Lightwave 3D. Now, with Blender 3D practically being free and the advent of YouTube, artists are now accomplishing stuff on their computers that used to take large render farms to pull off. JTVFX is one of them on Youtube that's done some 1:1 recreations, but also went off on his own to do scenes. These were 2 of my favorites: He's also planning to do Wolf 359 and put up this teaser: Looking around on Youtube, I found this by accident: | ||
