I am looking for recommendations for some books about the English Civil War. I really enjoy memoirs of people who were witness to said events.

Although perhaps a little larger in scope that what you might wish, The Cousins War, while exploring the English Civil War, also explores an interesting thesis that the basic protagonists of the English Civil War continued their struggles in the American Revolution and the American Civil War.
