I'm pretty sure Petticoat Junction was 1960s.
The series I most remember from the '70s was M*A*S*H. I loved it back then. When I've watched it recently, I find I'm bored or annoyed almost as often as I'm entertained.

The Richard Pryor show. 1977. Only 4 episodes before being cancelled by NBC for being too controversial. Funny as all hell. I remember my dad saying that shit ain't going to last long. He was right.

Truthfully the BEST sitcoms originated in the sixties although some made to the seventies. FAR better sitcoms than the seventies.
Taken from a "top 10 list" 1.M*A*S*H. 2.All in the Family. 3.Happy Days. 4.Sanford and Son. 5.Taxi. 6.The Mary Tyler Moore Show. 7.Gilligan's Island. (Sixties) 8.WKRP in Cincinnati. 9.Bewitched. (sixties) 10.The Odd Couple.
Watched all of them but nothing stands out over the others, IMO.
Sixties greats: 1.The Andy Griffith Show. 2.Bewitched. 3.I Dream of Jeannie. 4.The Munsters. 5.Gilligan's Island. 6.Get Smart. 7.The Beverly Hillbillies. 8.The Addams Family. 9.The Dick Van Dyke Show. 10.Green Acres.
No comparison sixties were MUCH better.

Soap for sure. It was ground breaking and a funny sum bitch.
