The scene in the truck after the bar fight when Chris shows his brother the hot chick's number on his hand -- who else was dying to hear "how do you like those apples?"
That would have been awesome!
That was Matt Damon's line, though.

Listening closely, it seems like there's more autism spectrum coming through in his speech patterns on the trailer than what I remember from the first.
Definitely. We went last night to see it and that’s all I could think about was how his speech changed from the first one.
It was a decent watch for being a sequel and all.
OK so I'm not crazy.
Twenty minutes in I turned to my wife and said "he kinda dialed up the 'tism for this one I think" and she looked at me like my 'tism was showing.
I enjoyed it. Had elements of the first and expanded on them a bit. The characters have changed a bit as they would eight years later.
I didn't have the surprise "oh that's awesome" vibe I got from the first one but it's a sequel after all.
I'll watch the third installment when it comes out.

I enjoyed the movie overall and would go see another sequel, but the inexplicable changes in autism characterizations bothered me.
In the first movie, Christian came off as someone introverted & unsociable. In the second, he acts as if he's channeling Rain Man. The change in his speech pattern alone is disconcerting. There's also a very quick throwaway line about how he didn't need to do self-therapy w/ the loud music & bone-hardening anymore.
In the first, Christian was a sharp dresser. In the second he dresses like 75 y/o midwestern granddad.
I liked that Justine got a lot more screen time; however, the Justine in 2 acts nothing like she does in 1. In the first one, she's heavy on the stimming. In 2, she doesn't display any signs of autism other than being mute.
