My 18 yo daughter and I watched Kill Bill Vol 1 and were trying to come up with a list of movies with seriously tough ladies kicking butt. We have:
Kill Bill Ultraviolet Long Kiss Goodnight Aeon Flux G.I.Jane ( always makes feel like a wimp) Alien (s)
What do you all have ?

So many vintage Hong Kong stuff. Basically anything with Michelle Yeoh. Martial artist Cynthia Rothrock made a bunch of cheesy cheap straight-to-VHS American films in the late '80s - early '90s, but her earlier Hong Kong work is insane! They teamed up for 1985's Yes Madam which had some crazy fight scenes that blow away American stuff.

Good ones !
Atomic Blonde and Lucy are ones I should have got ! Cythia Rothrock was great too. I was competing in NASKA as a kid and would see her at bigger tournaments occasionally

This one is obscure and may be hard to find, but it is one of my favorites.
------------------------------ "They who would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin
"So this is how liberty dies; with thunderous applause." - Senator Amidala (Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith)
Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt as the Angel of Verdun.
"I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965
How's everyone feel about The Professional? I'd say Mathilda held her own in several moments.
"I'm yet another resource-consuming kid in an overpopulated planet raised to an alarming extent by Hollywood and Madison Avenue, poised with my cynical and alienated peers to take over the world when you're old and weak!" - Calvin, "Calvin & Hobbes"

Film Noir has a huge collection of women who do the very same thing but in a nonviolent sort of way. In a time when men absolutely dominated the workplace and made all decisions in the family, these women ruled absolutely. Joan Crawford, Bette Davis and the femme fatales of these films are something else. The likes of Robert Mitchum and others were simply manipulated and discarded.

Because most folks who've seen that stinker of a film are either hesitant to admit it openly, or are actively trying to suppress the memory.
