Not a big boxing fan and have no clue who Jake Paul is but think I’ll tune in for this one if it actually goes down. This was the first thing that popped into my head when I as a picture of the two. Glass Joe vs Mike Tyson

He's a Youtube/Tiktok/Vine "influencer" turned semi-pro boxer/MMA fighter.
Got internet famous for prank videos in the early 2010s, and earned a bunch of money off clicks and likes. Then decided he wanted to be a rapper. Then decided he wanted to be a business entrepreneur. And a few years back decided he now wants to be a boxer.
He's 9-1, but has mostly fought against past-their-prime boxing/MMA stars (as with this Tyson match) or against other internet celebrities turned amateur fighters. High profile, but not really high skill. I suspect he'd be obliterated by a real competitive boxer of his same age, mainly just due to inexperience since he hasn't been training his whole life like nearly every other boxer.
I see this as kind of a lazy cash grab. Tyson is twice Paul's age and hasn't fought a real match in a couple decades (Paul was 8 years old when Tyson fought his last competitive bout in 2005), but he figures he can make a stack of money piggy-backing off the pull that Jake Paul has with the teen/20-something internet bros, which will give him enough money to keep enjoying the rest of his retirement.
Basically the boxing equivalent of when washed up actors turn to doing B movies just to pay the bills.
Still, could be an interesting matchup. Youth and energy vs. experience and power. I'd love to see Tyson knock him out, as if to say "I may be nearly 60, kid, but these hands are still dangerous!"

Sounds like a douche bag. Was pulling for Tyson already more so now.

I was never a fan of Mike's back in the day.
However, I am now.
I would love to see him revive his glory days.

Tyson is a highly skilled professional boxer, a former heavyweight world champion. In his 50s, he still trains and has power and speed.
If a true legit fight, Tyson will brutalize him.

It's 19 years since Kevin McBride sat Tyson on his ass and now Tyson wants an even more everlasting remembrance for his career? Tyson is in it for the money. Paul is in it for money, but has proved himself in order to keep doing it for the money. I give Paul credit for winning in the face of those who resent him. Paul's one loss to a legit boxer wasn't nearly the obliteration everyone hoped for.

It's time Paul gets put on his butt. I thought for sure his fight against Fury he would be done, nope. Thought for sure the Nate Diaz fight would've been it, nope.
I hope Tyson is the one that can do it because Paul has a lot of confidence after the last several fights he's been in. Tyson is 30 years older than Paul, he's not had a professional fight in nearly 20-years...not sure about this one. Wouldn't be surprised if there's lots of 'unspoken rules' like the Tyson-Jones fight had

Fools and their money. Tyson is 57. Paul is a clown. This is another sideshow event. I guess props go to both of them for getting suckers to pay.

It’s not a Pay Per View fight. Simple Netflix event. There may be some folks who get Netflix for a month but my guess is that will be minimal.

Oh, best believe they're getting paid well.
It hasn't been disclosed yet how much they're getting paid, but it's likely well into the tens of millions. Especially to coax Tyson out of retirement. He's said before that he wouldn't get back in the ring for just a few million.
There's 80,000 seats in the stadium, with tickets running $200-$9k each. That's many tens of millions to a few hundreds of million dollars in ticket sales alone.
Then there's the advertising. The gambling profits. Etc.
There's bound to be hundreds of millions of dollars involved in this, even without PPV fees.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ He is a class A asshole. Thinks he is better than everyone else and does despicable things. Rogue was polite. His brother is just as bad. From a maturity viewpoint he is about 13.

This could be an amusing circus event. Paul, I know who he is but don't follow at all, but apparently he and his brother are big time on YT. He is not a good boxer but he does try, Tyson is old but is fearless and the mental determination of Mike Tyson is substantial. Could be entertaining.

You can still get your face smashed with headgear on.
Here's hoping for Paul to get it all.

Yep, it's an exhibition match, which is a glorified sparring session. Neither guy going into it will box all-out. We'd be lucky if they went 75% effort.
A lot of viewers would like to see Jake Paul's face get tenderized and put to bed. Netflix is counting on that. It ain't gonna happen. When Floyd Mayweather & Jake Logan Paul "fought", Mayweather at one point accidentally hit him to hard and had to hold up Paul to keep him from hitting the canvas.
