We watched the 6-part series Buddy vs. Duff and I have to tell you my opinion of Buddy went up quite a bit while my opinion of Duff went down just based on what I saw.



Buddy is an old-school baker, not a pastry chef and is very good at the high-volume classic stuff.

Duff seems to be more like an artist/pastry chef and not geared toward larger items or higher volume and he just came off as a complete tool to me.

I think Buddy is the better baker/chef here overall.

I watched a number of the episodes, including the finale last night. I agree with your comments quoted above but disagree with the complete tool assessment of Duff. He seemed like a guy who is really into his craft and seemed to be enjoying himself. Buddy on the other hand, came off as a bit arrogant and pissed off whenever he lost. JMHO

As to who is the better baker/chef, I guess it depends on if you want the high volume or the artsy stuff.

The wife watches this shit. While I had less of a problem with this show I hated buddy. He’s just hateable.

Now I really dislike beat Bobby flay. The narcissism of these people make me sick.
