Chester's death was a tragedy.
I would like to see Mike and the boys succeed.

Heard the new single on the radio this morning, not bad & I think the Dead Sara singer will do well to fill the void.

I only knew Dead Sara from Weatherman, but knowing that, had a pretty good feel that she could handle Chester's lyrics.
Haven't watched any of yesterday's event, we've been too buried at work to take the time for it yet.

Not a huge fan of ‘rap rock’ originally, but they opened for Metallica some years ago and I really enjoyed their stage performance. Crazy energy.

I was a big fan of Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
Still run those albums through the rotation when I want to hear something different.

I wish they had found a way to get the guy from the Hybrid Theory cover band. They are phenomenal. I'm not a fan of the new singer.

I'm gonna disagree. I think she's far better than that guy. I'd say he's somewhat competent, but she's actually really talented. I like the new track, it's catchy.

I think she’s good for new stuff, but it just doesn’t sound good her trying to sing Chester’s vocals on old songs. It’s kind of a weird thing, I liked the new song but cringe when she tries to sing the old. Chester was so damn awesome, surprising that he didn’t write many of the songs by how he came across while singing it. It’s one of those things where you can’t replace him, none of the older songs will be nearly as good as they were without him. The chick is a good singer though, so maybe this is like the next chapter and they should focus on the new stuff with her.

^This.
No opinion for moving forward, but she sounds weird doing the songs I know from before. No judgement yet, but I'll stick to the stuff I know til she proves out one way or another.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

Nope, nope, and nope.
Y’all want to make some music together fine but don’t call it Linkin Park.
Listened to a few and she certainly should not be doing Chester’s part.

Hybrid Theory was such a great album. Some things just need to be left alone.

Was trying to give the chick a chance so been listening to more to try to like it.

Just can’t get into it. Currently playing the original stuff to get that back in the head over her stuff.

Done listening to the new Linkin Park

Wasn't a fan of the new song, but I will give the new album a listen when it comes out.

Classic Linkin Park is always in the rotation in my car.

Yea me too. Hybrid Theory is top 5 albums ever for me (So is My Own Prison, but I’m just trying to start something by saying that Wink ). I do like this new song… it does sound like Linkin Park… but it isn’t Linkin Park.

And I don’t get a cover band doing a big arena type show like above… yea they’re good and talented and all that, but it just sits wrong for them to be making serious money just completely off of someone else’s music. I get a local band doing a bar gig and playing a cover of Metallica or whatever, but to make a career off someone else’s music just seems wrong.
