Das Boot - Blu-Ray
Anyone know where to get the NSTC BR of the original TV series?

Not the movie or the recent remake.

Thanks.

PAL means only those in the NE USA can view it.

No...PAL is a European format.

NTSC is the North American standard.

It's on DVD. Are you sure it's even been done on Blu-Ray?

I was unaware till just now that there were two versions/airings of the Mini Series.

ETA:

Still not what you want.

"Having already owned an US version of this movie, I specifically purchased this item for German subtitles to help me go along with the German dialogues. By itself this two disk edition contains theatrical edition of the movie and the 6 episode TV edition with some extra scenes omitted from the movie version. It is region B format, unplayable by the US version standalone Bluray players, however it is easily playable on computer based hardware."

If it makes you feel any better about coming up fruitless in your quest, I more often than not prefer older movies on DVD; I find that BluRay can make them look odd. I'll go out of my way to find a DVD copy of a movie a lot of times. My copy of Das Boot(movie) is a DVD on purpose.

Thanks all who replied. I guess I'll have to settle for the DVD.

Great movie... not sure about the series? but I will say a few years ago I mentioned this to a guy visiting from Germany about how good the movie was and he gave me the basic line, "the book is even better" he was right.... one of the damndest reads I've ever had....and on top of that a true story.
