They also flew the Bell P-39 Airacobra made in Niagara Falls. Many were flown thru Canada and transferred to the Russians at Ladd Field in Fairbanks AK, later renamed Ft Wainwright where I was stationed 1968-70.

I knew they flew some P39's but I thought they were flying Yak's in this? For sure Yak 3's in the 3rd series.
