Admittedly, I've only seen parts of the show as I walk thru the Great Room when my wife watched it. It has the same feel as the crap they play on the Lifetime channel.

Season 5 is out if anyone is still interested. It's pretty good, despite a bit of wokeness. It's kind of hard to avoid it nowadays, but I was a bit disappointed to see it here.

Aaaand after pussifying Jack, then Brady, now they've done Preacher. It would make a great drinking game show - drink every time you hear "honey", "I'm there for you", or "how are you doing?". If it weren't for my wife who can't not finish a series once started, I'd have abandoned it long ago.
And you're right about the wokeness. They had to throw in a gay couple and a lesbian, neither of which add to the story.

I'm abusing myself with season 5.

Of course they had to have a homo couple on the camping trip.

My lovely wife started the new season last night and I had forgotten how bad it was. Oh look...Jack's gonna cry again.

Between Jack's crying and him having to whisper every time he talks, I would like to shoot my television!!

Hilariously I had never heard of the books before watching it, and it was a few episodes before I realized it was a soap opera.

Still watched all the seasons, including the latest. It was better than the previous season.

And the characters are developed. You may not like the result but they’re more than one dimensional.

I've watched all of it and despite lots of cringe-worthy scenes, the overall plot still intrigues me.

My wife said that was the last straw seeing that idiot with the long hair in his dress blues. She said she is done with it.

I enjoy the show. It’s easy watching before bed. I would love to live in a town like Virgin River all the seasonal events they do as a whole community in such beautiful scenery.
Some of it’s a little silly but that’s alright.

I thought it was funny that Preacher was wearing a Dukes Mayo sweatshirt at the Bachelor party.
I found Dukes because of this forum. I’d always been a Helmans guy.

When Jack showed up in the dress blues and long hair my wife was like I don’t think they would allow they.

I have to say they do piss me off with the season ending cliff hangers.
