400mMasterpiece albums
Dark side, Sgt. Peppers, and Kind of Blue are popular for being masterpieces. What others would you include. I’ll start by saying Operation Mindcrime, a Rush trio of: 2112, A Farewell to Kings, and Hemispheres. Back in Black and Hysteria as well.

tigereye313After a quick browse of the music on my phone:
Ten Summoner's Tales - Sting
Seriously excellent musicianship.
Only -Tommy Emmanuel
The best blend of his styles, nothing too over the top.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet, At Carnegie Hall
Hard to believe it was recorded live, outstanding.
Chris Thile and Edgar Meyer - Bass and Mandolin
Two virtuosos.

smschulzThis thread is more like a listing of favorite albums than "Masterpiece" albums.
That's because there are sooooooo many really great albums (when you call it albums, you know we're getting old, LOL).
All 60-70-80's for the most part.
Nevertheless, love seeing them here.
Mine start with (but in no way end here)
Steely Dan: Countdown to Ecstasy
Rare Earth: In Concert
Little Feat: Waiting for Columbus
Marshall Tucker: Where We All Belong
I cold go on for a long time with more.......

Lot of really great tunes ... Masterpiece to me ...

I was going to put that one on the list as well. Not sure why I kept it off. It's definitely their best album and surely defined the genre at the time.
