Pipeline Sequence, Honk - from Five Summer Stories. Saw it in a high school auditorium, where most of the surf movies were shown back in the day. Visuals during this tune in the movie was mostly slow motion Gerry Lopez and Rory Russell tube rides at Pipeline.
Then there's The Sandals, Theme From Bruce Brown's The Endless Summer.

Fun, Fun, Fun by the Beach Boys. My dad had a '57 T-bird and I used to drive it to high school in the late fifties. When I would hear the song, I would fantasize about having a daughter of my own one day and buying her a T-bird. Alas it never happened, I had three boys. They did get to drive my '71 Corvette from time to time.

No Jan and Dean?
I don't know how big they were in the 60's. As a kid in the 90's I almost never heard them on the oldies station, but I bought a few of their albums on CD and was pretty into them for a while.
I graduated high school in 1962, NJ. My parents let me go to California for the Summer and I was introduced to the surf scene and the music. I became a big Beach Boy fan, as well as others.
Not anything I can add, you guys have it well covered.

Here’s a little bit of trivia I stumbled across today. Jan and Dean’s “Surf City” was the first ‘surf song’ to be #1 nationwide. Jan Berry co-wrote the song with Brian Wilson.
