Last of the Dogmen - Tom Berenger on Youtube
I really enjoyed this movie back in the day.

Last of the Dogmen
(I didn't embed it because no one wants to watch a full movie 'windowed' )

Yeah, surprisingly enjoyable. Seen it when I was a kid and usually try to watch if I come across it on cable.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

In a few places it has a few bleeding heart speeches of how terrible we were to the Indians. I always hate how they do not tell both sides of that story (it is far more complex than just one horrible event).

But I did appreciate how well researched it was, for instance, at the end one dogsoldier takes a stake out of his belt that is tied to his ankle and sticks it in the ground. This was symbolic of "this is where I make my last stand". When this movie came out I had just finished my Old West graduate history class at UNT and several of us went to see it. On my bucket list I always wanted to do the Lewis and Clark trip with Stephen Ambrose as well.

I really need to get a good leather gun belt and revolver setup to go with my Winchester .
