Will You Be Watching The Super Bowl (Commercials)?
For some, the Super Bowl is Christmas, New Years, Easter and Thanksgiving all rolled into one. For others (like me) the game has lost its luster, and I'd just as soon pass on watching it.

But the ads.

So many ads are aired during the Super Bowl (and sometimes ONLY during the Super Bowl), it almost is worth watching the game just for the ads. Will you be watching the Super Bowl? Is so, will it be for the game, the ads, both, or something more? The GAME, man. The GAME.Game? What game? Just the ads for me.It's a four-hour extravaganza. I'm watching the SHOW.I won't be watching. Yawn.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

I didn’t vote as there wasn’t really a choice that reflected my preference. I’ll tune in to the game but have no interest in the ads (they’ve really gone downhill in my opinion) and don’t particularly care if either SF or Kansas City wins. I’m gonna cook up some ribs, throw some beer down, and chill.
I’m not gonna sit through 10 minutes of pre-game let alone 4 hours! Roll Eyes

Seeing how the NFL is allowing an anti-Police commercial, I won't be watching.

Bulldog posted my exact sentiments. The NFL could go to hell for all I care.

Can you elaborate? I haven't heard about that one.

I agree that 'Superbowl Commercials' have gone to crap in recent years. They are mostly lame, with the occasional SJW-themed ones thrown in there. The last ones I think they were any good was when they had the Audi "Doberjuajua," the "80s want their store back" Radio Shack ad, and the one with the cute (aren't they all?) Golden Retriever or Lab puppy with the horses.

I’ll record it so I can just watch the game. Takes about 45 minutes to watch a game. Fast forward through all ads, as well as in between plays.

I loathe advertisements and think marketing is a massive problem in the US. People are controlled through marketing. They watch ads and think that’s real life when it’s nothing but fake. Leads to image life, perception is reality and other nonsense. I don’t view ads, at all. Not at home, in the vehicles, the only place I see partial ads is you boob and I click the skip ads as soon as it will allow me. I choose to live my life ad free so the Super Bowl advertisements won’t be seen by me, not a single fucking ad Big Grin

I've zero interest in throweggball.

One year, after hearing about 'em for years, I tuned in for the adverts. Disappointing, to say the least. Last time I did that.

After the way the NFL handled the whole Colin dick head situation, I have not watched a single NFL game. I refuse to support the NFL, even though I am sure they do plenty of good things.

The fact that I live in Cincinnati really makes it easy too. The Bengals have been absolutely terrible for way too long.

Corey Jones was shot and killed by the Police on 10Oct2015. I don't know why but apparently it was a bad shooting because the officer was arrested and sent to jail for 25 years. Now his cousin, Anquan Boldin who payed for the NFL has put a commercial together which will raise awareness about "police brutality". I think it's part of the Colon Kapernick agenda. But in any event, I won't be watching.

I hate it that "commercials" at the Super Bowl have been designated "Entertainment"?

I really used to enjoy the “event” of the Superbowl, including the commercials. My family used to go to big parties, then when I grew up and had my own family, we did, too. Not no more, Billy.

So much has changed in the last few years, and they lost me along the way.

I will be watching none of it whatsoever.

I have no idea who is playing, or when it is. And I used to know these things a long time ago.
