I just read Ed Brown passed away
The article I read stated it was about a week ago that he passed,(of Ed Brown Customs). I have bought many parts from his company over the years and always wanted to get one of his/their guns, as they were amazing from what I have tried.

Sad to hear. Always wanted one of his 1911's.

Sorry to hear this.

"But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock
"If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it." Clarence Worley

I just read that also. RIP Ed. I read his sons have been at the company 25 years and that Ed retired in 2010. The 1911 legacy lives on.

I have a few SIGs.

That is sad to hear. Ed was an extremely nice guy and a legend in the 1911 world.

When I got my start in firearms, I drooled over an Ed Brown Kobra Carry. One of their recent cool options is they now upgrade Springfield Prodigies into the guns they should be for less than Staccato charges you for even a no dot P.

This probably belongs in the Handgun Forum, but it's still worth the RIP regardless.
