Did you know that the Most Interesting Man in the World tried to kill John Wayne?
Jonathan Goldsmith, the Most Interesting Man in the World, had an uncredited appearance in The Shootist, John Wayne's final film.
There's a scene where two assholes try to murder Wayne in his bed but he's ready for them. He shoots the first guy who comes through the window, then puts another one in the guy's head for good measure. At this point, you'd think that the Most Interesting Man in the World would say "screw this" and split, but no, he tries to climb in the window and doesn't even make it inside before he's shot by Wayne.
He's listed on IMDB as "Second asshole". err, make that "Book's Victim".
His scene is brief and murky. You can't really see his face but for a split second as he falls backwards but even then, you wouldn't recognize him.

A few years back, I met this rather interesting woman who was an Advertising Executive for some firm. After a few cocktails and a nice conversation above "perception", I found out that the "Most Interesting Man in the World" ain't even close to Mexican.
Now I'm finding out Johnny Goldsmith tried to kill The Duke...

And oh yeah, he played Tommy (billed as Jonathan Lippe in the credits) in Hang 'em High. The bastard helped lynch Clint Eastwood and then tried to murder him later in the movie!!
'course ol' Clint blows his ass away. Do we see a pattern here?
