mjlennonWorst rated film on IMDB
So your poking around your favorite streaming site or IMDB looking for new entertainment ideas. You read the synopsis, perhaps even view the trailer, check the rating. What's the worst rated movie you seen and what was it's rating?

LastCubScoutOf the IMDb Bottom 100, the lowest ranking I've seen is
Manos: The Hands of Fate. It has a 2.1 IMDb rating. I thought it was enjoyably bad—I've seen worse, as in, not entertaining.
In the Bottom 100, I've seen:
Birdemic: Shock and Terror
House of the Dead
From Justin to Kelly
Battlefield Earth (Yes! Genuinely bad. So boring, I fell asleep ... TWICE!)
Jaws: The Revenge
Troll 2
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
Rollerball '02 (How dare you remake a '70s classic! From the director of
Die Hard, Predator, and
The Hunt for Red October too!)
Slender Man
Catwoman
Barb Wire
Texas Chainsaw: The Next Gen
The Master of Disguise (Yes, absolutely awful)
Spice World (No! This is fun junk food! Leo D—back me up from the afterlife if you can!)
Crossroads
The Room (No, hilariously awesome!)
Jaws 3-D - (Any film with both Bess Armstrong and Lea Thompson isn't all bad.)
The Wicker Man '06 ("Not the bees!")
Superman IV
Piranha 3DD (Yes, but
Piranha 3D totally rocks!)
Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li
The Avengers '98 (Obviously, none of the producers watched the TV show.)

mr kablammoA difficult question to answer in the sense that an awful movie is often a forgetable movie. I have definitely looked on IMDB or Amazon for reviews of bad movies while watching same. Usually that is the signal that its so boring or unwatchable that quitting viewing is at hand.
A few mentions that can be remembered... the names may be a bit off.
Harvey Corman's 'Immortal Frankenstein' or 'Frankenstein Eternal' or 'Frankenstein Ascendant' or some such. I threw the DVD in the trash. Very low reviews.
'Manos, Hands of Fate'. Low reviews, specifics not remembered. I quit it after five minutes.
Some taiwanese zombie/vampire movie. Some kids get knocked into a comic book by a bolt of lightning. When the zombies/vampires are about to chomp 'em a second lightning bolt knocks 'em back out of the comic book. I only watched it because my wife is from Taiwan. She was disgusted by my insistence on seeing it through. I think that there was one rating of two stars. It would have been one star but the kids were cute.
Some Lucha Libre movies... its been a while... maybe Santo in 'Misterio en las Burmudas' or 'Santo Contra los Hombres de Luna' or some such. Santo and his sidekick were being chased by a 'moon monster' that was obviously men under a blanket. Maybe 2.5 stars?
And some czech film by the director 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest'. A big-titted woman suffers her beaver-toothed paramor and finally starves him or some duch bullshit. A lot of reviews on that being a theft of time. I never finished it.

rsboloFahrenheit 451. Horrid. Trash. Worse than trash. All copies of it should be burned.

LeemurMy personal nominations are:
The People Under the Stairs (somehow got a 6.4)
Hedwig and the Angry Inch (7.7?!)
I was genuinely mad at my then girlfriend that I spent money for us to see that stupid freakin People under the Stairs. A friend recommended Hedwig and I wanted to beat his ass for wasting my time on it.

Jim ShugartThe worst movie I've ever seen in a theater is
Nightfall. It's based on an excellent short story by Isaac Asimov. It's not even funny-bad like
Plan 9 from Outer Space: It just makes you want to claw out your eyeballs, poke Bic pens into your ears, and then curl up into a fetal position and die.
It got a 2.6 from IMDb - probably that high because some folks felt sorry for the poor fuckers involved in making it.

Catwoman
Barb Wire
[i]Crossroads
[i]Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li
3 of these 4 I can watch today, but not for cinematic quality by any stretch. For other reasons

Now Crossroads, they better not be talking about that 1986 Ralph Macchio masterpiece. Still love seeing the Jack Butler cutting heads finale!

As for low rated movies, I thought
Plan 9 from Outer Space would be on that list. I'm surprised.

Even for a movie based on a light gun game, it was a poor effort.
Star Odyssey (Italian Star Wars) is pretty awful.
