The beef seems to be missing.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Up through January 1st, 1970 you could hear how cool you were for smoking a variety if cigarettes.
The next day, that changed.
Keep in mind that seatbelts had only been required in new cars for a little over a year and they were only the basic lap belt.
Amazing, we lived past childhood.

On the TV front we learned that Nazi POW prison guards sometimes had a sense of humor. The rest were just grouchy.

And do not forget, them POW camps were easy to escape from and hide a radio in.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Every car, no matter what the make, had a Chrysler reduction gear starter.

If a car maker sponsored a TV show, only those cars from that maker would appear in it. While understandable on a certain level (after all, why would they want a competitor's product?), it invited parody. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pm...n/EverybodyOwnsAFord

Already alluded to: cops (sometimes PIs) made improbably precise distance shots with snubnose revolvers, only hit the perp in the shoulder or upper arm, and little or no blood was seen. This, along with "Everybody Owns a Ford" (a sponsor of the show) was especially noticeable in the 1965-74 The F.B.I. series. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pm...Main/OnlyAFleshWound https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pm...probableAimingSkills

People could be struck or fall on their head, get knocked unconscious, and almost always wake up a few minutes later with at most dizziness and a slight, short-duration headache.

Las Vegas private eyes could capture bad guys just by intently walking towards them until they would just give themselves up to justice.

Police commissioners had wives that helped them solve crimes better than police force detectives.

Every TV PI had a friend/contact in the police department. Somewhat justified with Frank Cannon, who was a cop before going private.

Bad guys will not notice you following them.

No matter how flamboyant your ride.

Detectives can wear dress shoes with leather soles and run, jump, climb roofs equally as well as wearing New Balance running shoes.
