An old favorite of mine. I always considered Gregory Peck one of the best actors of the time. I was 14 when this movie came out. I remember seeing it in the theater. It was the first movie I remember where a serious attempt was made at special effects with the exception of Jason And The Argonauts which came out a few years earlier. Of course watching it now is very rudimentary but to a 14 year old at the time it was fascinating.
Gregory Peck, Omar Sharif, Telly Savallas and the lovely Julie Newmar. If you can't sleep tonight check it out.

I thought it was awesome when it came out.

Not so much.

Now I find it somewhat disorienting,
Something about it does not fit right together.

I liked it also as a kid, even saw it was on Grit the other day. That time of night was a little late for me though.

I have had Grit for years (Comcast cable) and loved watching it. A month ago, Comcast dropped Grit and that really pissed me off.

A lot of stars in this movie. Also, great performance by Ted Cassidy as Hachita.
