With great reluctance he agrees to do a tryout with a young woman who apparently goes through pairs figure skating partners like popcorn. As I type this I realize that the plot line is predictable, but I kinda like movies like this. There you go

TOE PICK!!!

In my middle school days I hung out with a little girl on the US National Figure Skating team so I sat through this one numerous times.

As I read the OP, this is the one I thought of. I've got it on VHS somewhere. Red Face

Ooh, Moira Kelly...

I was amused that character returned for the Cucalorus Film Festival commercials back in the mid-'00s.

Along the lines of The Cutting Edge, I'll toss out American Anthem with Mitch Gaylord and a young Mrs. Gretzky.

Commando, a 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger popcorn flick. Totally implausible BS - not the least of which was a student pilot navigating and landing a twin-engine flying boat over water - but I enjoyed it anyway.

The Devil Wears Prada

I just love that movie and will watch it anytime it comes on. Love the Streep character, and her other assistant (Emily Blunt). Stanley Tucci is excellent as well.

A lot of good ones in here. I like the first Pitch Perfect but haven't seen the others. And I like Devil Wears Prada as well, mostly because Hathaway is just gorgeous, but I also like Tucci and Streep's characters.

How could you possibly be embarrassed about loving this movie?
