TMatsPeaky Blinders: the movie
Reading this thread with interest. We watched the series until the last season. We lost interest roughly 2 episodes before the end of the season…(6th?).
Sounds like it may not be worth it to go back to the last season and try to generate interest again. The earlier seasons were certainly worth watching for us.

coyotedudeAbout half way through it, it's a struggle though. Loved the series. Hadn't seen Tim Roth in anything since Rob Roy, way back.

M1GarandyI watched this last night with a friend that I'd watched the whole series with previously.
We were both disappointed in the plot and did not care for the ending and were glad not to have paid to see it in the theater.
The series as a whole had its ups and downs overall and not all the seasons were equally strong, but this movie was weaker than the weakest season of the series.

reflex/deflex 64I’ve not watched the series.
Does the movie rely on a knowledge of the series to appreciate it?

M1GarandyWithout giving too much away, I do believe that some basic knowledge of the history of the series/characters would be helpful to understand the movie.

mttaylor1066If I could summarize this movie in a one sentence pitch: It’s Jesus Christ meets all three Godfather movies.
Did not enjoy it.
