Kenny Wayne Shepherd - 10 Days Out:Blues from the Backwoods
For you KWS and blues fans, this is from an album he made in which he, his entourage (including Dad) and recording crew, made a trip through the old blues country, across the South, St. Louis, Kansas City, etc. to capture the sounds of the old blues masters who may not be with us much longer. Some of these guys are in their 80's and 90's.
There is a CD and a DVD. The DVD includes a lot of video and backstory that is not on the CD.
This cut is by the remnants of the Howlin' Wolf band, along with KWS, and Chris Layton on drums. A couple of nice breaks from KWS and Hubert Sumlin.
My Dad would have loved to have seen this video. That piano is sinfully good. Great find, henryaz!

I have the album and have seen the video as well. I think it was recorded about 11 years ago. Quite a few of the artists have passed away since (most notably, BB King). I’ll have to look and see if it’s not available on Amazon Prime. KWS did all music lovers a great service by making these wonderful recordings.

The 2 disc CD is still available at Amazon, but I don't see the DVD, which has the video and all of the in between stuff which is very enjoyable. It's really unclear whether that price includes the DVD as well.
