Me too, Rat. I bought her album, then stopped by the side of the road to talk with a friend—on a hot summer day. The album warped and was unplayable. She was great though.

That tune hit the charts not long after I reported to my first duty station in the Navy in '77. Very memorable.

Sad news today. She had a very distinctive voice and was often called the female Rod Stewart for her gravelly sound.

Sad news. "It's a Heartache" was her very best, IMO.
